ArkBuilders’ workforce development programs connect Central Ohio youth and young adults to real career pathways — from the skilled trades to certified prevention work — while addressing the barriers that have historically kept these opportunities out of reach. We focus on people, not job titles, and we build programs that combine training, mentorship, and direct experience with employers and community partners.
Through The Hub, the Summer Internship program, Urban Prevention Workforce Development, the BIPOC Pipeline to Success, and our Workforce Development Prevention Certification, we expose young people to trades, careers, and prevention specialties that aren’t covered in traditional college tracks — and give them the certifications and connections to actually enter the workforce.

The Hub
A career-exploration program where young people in Columbus get hands-on exposure to skilled trades, technical careers, and entrepreneurship paths beyond the traditional four-year college track. The Hub connects participants to working tradespeople, certification programs, and apprenticeship opportunities in Central Ohio.

Urban Prevention Workforce Development
Training and coaching pathway for the next generation of certified prevention specialists serving urban communities. UPWD prepares participants to earn the OCPC and ICPS credentials and work in schools, community organizations, and public-health settings across Ohio.
